A new tool for Flickr users

Published by dontbeafraid at 11:12 pm under Web2.0 Tools

Do you use Flickr?

The LTT has a Flickr site, I have a Flick site, as do many of my colleagues and friends… Flickr is an image sharing, social networking tool. There are so many tools that plug into Flickr now, blog’s, wiki’s, Facebook….

Using Flickr you can create cheap and very stylish looking promo cards (and at $20 USD per 100 cards, it’s an ideal tool for your students to use to promote themselves) , calendars, coffee table books and slideshows to embed on your online spaces.

So far our team has concentrated on slide.com and you can embed those photo’s as a slideshow with a nifty new tool called SlideFlickr!

This is another tool you can use to make slideshows, this one communicates directly with your Flickr account/s. The slide show look is quite streamlined and very stylish and there are many configuration options. Signing up is simple!

For more web2.0 tools you could use int he classroom, have a look at this list.
